Brooke's baptism

Well today was Brooke's baptism!! I loved how the ceremony went, and she was so good! She didn't cry at all when the priest poured water over her head. I included pics of the ceremony and of the party afterwards. She got a lot of cool things, including several precious moments things, and a lot of clothes!!

Lately we have just been getting ready for the wedding. I still have a long list of things to do, but I'm sure that we will get it all done on time.

Thursday night I went to class. It was long but informative LOL. I had missed the first two, so now I have to spend some time catching up. Hopefully it won't be too hard.

Tonight I sat down at the sewing machine and banged out 4 cloth wipes for Brooke in under half an hour. Jason's grandmother, Helen, told me that she would teach me how to sew. Mom also ordered me a new sewing machine offline, so I can't wait until that comes in!

Tomorrow we are going to a cookout at Jason's parents and then we are going to do some more wedding planning. We still have to book our hotel for the honeymoon!! I ordered an ellaroo wrap offline, and I really hope it comes in on time for the honeymoon, cause it would be great for carrying Brookie around the Falls.

O, also on Friday night I had my surprise bachelorette party! I loved it! We had lobster and then we played a murder mystery game LOL. It was perfect and a blast!

Well today was an extremely busy day. We woke up, and Jason called into work so that we could get some wedding stuff done. We took Stacie and went out to eat at Applebees, and then ran across to Babies R Us and bought Brooke's baptism outfit. Its very cute, and its something that she can also wear to the wedding, so we saved some money there!

After Babies R Us, we went to get my spray tan done. It was very weird and I messed it up a lot, but now that I know better, I'm still going to get it done for the wedding. After that we ran across to the mall and bought our wedding rings, yay!!! Mine is very beautiful, with diamonds to match my engagement ring. We got home and figured out the final count for the wedding, which comes to 105 ppl. We also figured things out for the cake. I called the lady and she said that she had ordered the stuff for the cake anyway, even though my dad didn't pay, etc. so everything is all set for that.

Last night I attempted to sew a diaper doubler again. It came out sooo bad LOL! I posted pics of it. I also posted pics of Brooke playing in her new Kissaluvs diaper with her new My Baby Moon cover with care bears print. Very cute! I can't wait for the rest of her diapers to come in! Then I also posted pics of her terrorizing the cat. 

The candles for the party favors also came in today, so all I need now is to buy the ribbon and then they will be all set. I still need to get the candles for the centerpieces though. Grrrrrr!!!

Tomorrow I go to class :o(. I am going to try to go to the baby movies at Blackstone Valley with the mother's group I am in, and then go to class around 3. I really don't want to :o(. But I already missed the first class so I know I have to go.

Well, gotta clean the kitchen. We are running out of clean dishes, LOL!!

Brooke's play date

Well today we had a lot of fun. We went to visit Stacey's new baby, Julia. Julia was born Friday morning weighing 7lbs, 7oz. She is soo tiny! She makes me want to have another baby right now LOL! Beth and I took Anna and Brooke to the mall to eat and to do a little shopping. They were so adorable! Anna and Brooke were really fascinated with each other, and Anna kept hugging Brooke and giving her kisses, it was so adorable! I took some pics and posted them.

On the way home, Beth had given Anna a sippy cup of juice. Beth glanced back and was like, "where's her juice?" I looked back and discovered that she had given it to Brooke, it was so funny LOL!

Well, we finally ordered Brooke's cloth diapers. I ordered 5 Fuzzi Buns and 12 Kissaluvs. I also ordered 3 more covers, bringing the cover total to 4. So all we need now are stuffers, liners, a couple more covers, and some cloths. I can make my own cloths and doublers and soakers, and use them for stuffers also. I also plan this week to attempt to make my own prefold, which I can also use as a stuffer.  And I can also easily make my own fleece liners, no prob. We're almost there!

Well my dad is being an @sshole! He isn't buying the cake, and has known for a month that he couldn't but decided not to tell me until two weeks before the wedding! And Andy won't walk me down the aisle or even go! Grrr I am so stressed!!!!

I think that's it. Now Kim can't yell at me for now updating my journal LOL! Luv ya girl! You must be the only person who reads my journal, so keep yelling at me to update!!

Hmmmm let's see...things have been really hectic around here as the wedding is coming up....there is still so much we have to do and we are running out of time so fast! We still have to find a limo, I have to set up a tanning and nail appt, have to plan the rehersal, etc. I also have to figure out the timeline for the actual wedding day, when to have the bridal party meet me at my grandfather's to get ready and such.

I started sewing..sort of LOL. I bought a lot of supplies for my buisness, and sewed a leopard flange pillow for my sister. Its full of mistakes, but not too shabby for my very first sewing attempt LOL. I posted some pics of it along with some pics of Brookie getting into trouble with Rex.

This past week has been fun because I have gotten a package every single day LOL. I got stuff I ordered for my buisness and stuff I ordered for the wedding. Oh, and yesterday I got the really cute and adorable All in One cloth diaper that I ordered off of ebay! Its so adorable and I can't wait to use it on her! I'm going to use it either today or tomorrow. I can't wait until we switch over to cloth completely, I'm already addicted! Last night I spent like two hours looking at all the cute cloth diaper choices, I'm such a geek LOL! I eventually want to sew my own fleece covers. While we were at WalMart yesterday getting material for stacies pillow I bought a yard (the last of it) of NE Patriots fleece. I want to make a cover that Jason will like, to make it fun for him too :o)

Brooke co-slept with us last night, I love it when she does, its so peaceful. She woke up around six and fell back asleep and I snuck out of bed and left her and Jason peacefully snoozing away....its nice to have some me time LOL.

Oh, on Thursday I went to a Mother's group picnic. I had a blast! The women there are all older, but they are all so sweet! And its always fun to have a lot of cute babies in the same place LOL! I made a lot of friends. On tuesday we are going to the baby movies at blackstone valley cinema, and a few of the ladies and I are going to start walking together every week, yay! It's nice to have friends that understand having a baby and don't mind when you talk about baby poop LOL.

I think that is pretty much it. Jason and I have a lot to do, both for the wedding and for Brooke's baptism next weekend. Thank God my family is so generous, and gave us money from the Jack and Jill, or we would not be able to have a wedding LOL. Also, Jason got his taxes back finally, so that helps. We are going to use the money to fix up my car, switch to cloth diapers, and pay off some credit debt. What a relief!

Well, I'm off to shower before both the kiddos wake up LOL! I'll try to update more often but don't expect it really until after the wedding. Ciao!

only 3 weeks until the wedding!

Only three more weeks until the wedding! Ugh I still have so much more to do! Things I have left to do:

Get shoes, get dressed altered (doing today), get a limo, talk to photographer, plan menu, plan seating chart, buy mirrors and candles for centerpieces, buy ribbons for party favors, make up cards for party favors, buy something more for bridal party, make bags for bridal party (?), set up appt for hairdresser, find babysitter for wedding day, get chairs for ceremony, talk to minister, plan rehersal dinner, and get dress for Brooke to wear. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff too! I also have to talk to the florist and confirm some things with the DJ, and visit my Dad to pick out a song.

On top of all this, I have to plan Brooke's baptism! Its on Sunday, the 29th, the weekend before the wedding. I'm going to skip the invites and do word of mouth, and just have a small party afterward. But I have to pick up her baptism dress from Babies R Us!

I posted some pics...the first is of Brooke wearing her first cloth diaper yay! The pic is blurry, but that was DH taking it LOL. The diaper is a fitted Kissaluv, peach color. She couldn't wear it b/c I haven't gotten the cover I ordered for it yet, but I wanted to see it on her. It's so adorable! The reasons for switching to cloth just make perfect sense, I really wish I had done it earlier! I also ordered an All in One to try out, and then DH and I will decide whether to go full time when his tax returns come in.

The rest of the pics are just Brookie taking a bath and discovering the safety gate we put at the top of the stairs. Boy, was she mad about that! She crawls over to it, grabs onto the gate bars and shakes it while yelling at the top of her lungs! Its so cute!

I got some more materials for my buisness, I'm so excited. I also got some mroe things for the wedding, but I've still got to buy a couple more things. Well, I better get going. Ciao!

relaxing

Well yesterday was a really good day, for the most part. Brookie was really cranky, and she wouldn't let me put her down! So after going nuts, when Jason got home we took her to the park! She had lots of fun, and I posted the pics. Then we went grocery shopping.

This morning I bought matchboxes, and gifts for the bridal party. I still have to buy the bridal party something more, and I have to get the candles and ribbon to go along wth the matchboxes. So much to do!!!

Today Brookie is a little cranky again, but not as bad as yesterday. Right now she is booking around the kitchen, I can't believe how fast she crawls now! And now she is starting to pull herself up into a standing position! We are def going to babyproof the house either today or tomorrow, she is getting into everything!

Well in terms of penny pinching, I got the matchboxes and gifts for a good price off of ebay. I'm also looking at great deals for my buisness supplies, again off of ebay. I got a photographer for only $500, that's a great deal!

For dinner tonight I'm going stir fry some leftover chicken with some veggies, and also put out the leftover sweet and sour chicken and pasta...anything not used I'll throw away, cause today is Refrigerator Boogie day!

Well, gotta  go check my auctions and catch up on my FlyLady Missions. Ciao!

so much to do!!

Wooohoooo! I'm having such a great vaca! Well to start with, the Jack and Jill was such an incredible blast, I had soooo much fun! And we got a lot of money, which was nice LOL. It was nice to see everyone there, I hope everyone had fun too. Kasey, the babysitter, seemed to have done really well with Brooke, so I asked her if she would babysit for the wedding. I'm still waiting for her to get back to me about it.

What else....I posted some pics of Brooke crawling...man, is she a terror now LOL! She gets into EVERYTHING!! And now she crawls so fast! She's also getting a little more clingy, wanting to be picked up more at certain times of the day. I can't tell if she is just teething or if this is a stage she is going through. One thing for sure, her crawling helps my diet LOL! I have less time to eat b/c I am constantly chasing her around! Speaking of diets, I lost another 2.5 lbs this week! Yay WW! DH gets paid today, so we will finally have some money to buy the stuff we need to babyproof the house....and I'm going to make sure to sweep the floors every day, cause man she loves to try to eat dog hair LOL!

Wedding planning is just totally hitting me right now LOL! On wednesday we are meeting with the DJ....Monday is the appt to get my dress altered....and I finally got a photographer, only $500, yay! He's the boyfriend of a friend, and she is making him give me a SUPER BIG discount, lol! So before Monday I have to buy my undergarments for my dress, and get my shoes! I've also been looking at things on ebay....I saw some petals cheap...matchoboxes too...and some taper candles to go along with the matchboxes....I still need candles and mirrors for the centerpieces though:o) Oooo, I also found the coolest gifts for my bridesmaids!! Also off of ebay!! I would post what they are, but I don't want word getting out LOL!

In other news, I'm going to start my own buisness selling handmade cards and other paper crafts, such as paper mache crafts and scrapbook layouts. I'm really excited, but I have to buy the supplies off of ebay because they are too expensive at Micheals.  I really hope this works out, because then I can stay home with Brookie for  a while before starting up my career!

Grrr when I was at the J&J, my dad's girlfriend said to me, "You're still not nursing her, are you?" When I told her I would be nursing into the toddler years, she said I was starving my baby b/c she should be eating complete solid foods right now. Yeah, that's why she's so happy and healthy...because I'm starving her @@....people are so ignorant. Oh, but I later heard the perfect response to her statement! "You're not still nursing, are you?" "Yeah, why are you thirsty?" LOL that would shut them up!!

YAY VACA

Well so far vaca is going really well. I've decided that I would like to try to organize a walk for breastfeeding awareness.  The proceeds would go to the Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition, or some other breastfeeding advocacy group. I know its a lot of work, and I have to do some more research to figure out exactly how its done.

Yesterday I had quite the scare! Brookie was laying on her stomache playing, when all of a sudden she started choking! I mean, not breathing choking! I picked her up and she couldn't breathe, her little arms her thrashing around and I could tell she was terrified! Her little eyes were looking at me, so scared, like she couldn't understand why I wasn't helping her! I dialed 911, but when the operator picked up, the phone hung up on me! I wacked poor Brookie on the back and white stuff came flying out of her mouth and nose! Turns out she had choked on her own spit up! She's fine now, but she was very cranky and screamed for like an hour. My poor baby!

Well I posted some random pics. The camera actually took pics that weren't blurry, I'm so shocked!

Tonight is the Jack and Jill. My mom just walked in with a 13 lb lobster to raffle off, its bigger than Brooke, its huge!! I'm really excited about tonight! Although I am nervous leaving Brookie alone with a babysitter. Erika's sister is going to babysit, I'm so nervous! I keep telling myself that Brookie will only be awake for like an hour before going down for the night, so I shouldn't worry so much.

Brookie has finally learned to crawl forward! She's so adorable, but getting into everything! We def have to baby-proof the house this weekend!

Well, that's all. I gotta go work on my Russian Politics final. Ciao!

Hehe I just looked at my previous posts and realized that I had already talked about the shower and posted the pics....sillly me.

So now I am posting even more pics that I took this month. They are of Jason giving Brookie a bath, Brookie eating...and also my madonna pics. WARNING: FULL VIEW OF BOOBS LOL! VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Well I'm not too happy how they came out, but its better than nothing right? I wanted to visually capture my breastfeeding experience with Brooke because I know that after she weans herself, I'm going to miss it terribly, so at least I'll have the pics to look back on.

YAY

YAY SCHOOL IS OVER!!! At least for a week, then summer classes start lol! I'm putting in a lot of pics because I'm really behind.

Let's see...not sure if I mentioned this, but my cousin threw me a surprise shower! YAY! I'll post the pics from the shower later....

Two great things happened to me this week. The first is that i got inducted into the National Political Honor Society, yay! I got a certificate and free lunch out of it lol! The second thing is that today I got awarded for having a high GPA in the Pogo department, yay! I got a certificate and some really cool books to read, all about politics, yay! It was so funny, one of my prof said that my GPA is so high, its intimidating LOL!

Update on Brooke....well she pushes herself up into a sitting position! And this weekend she learned to crawl....but only backwards LOL! She's getting so big, her personality shines through more and more every day, I feel like I'm falling in love with her all over again! This week we have to baby proof the house. She's growing up so fast!

Well tomorrow I am starting up on FlyLady again, so that will help to get me organized. I still have one paper to revise and one take home exam to finish, and then I am done till next week when my summer classes start. Its only two nights a week, and not as much work, so I'm ok with  it. For money, I'm going to do a little mystery shopping and find other ways to make money from home. The rest of my time I will spend on learning to sew, advocating for breastfeeding, and spending it with Brookie, yay! I find myself so much more relaxed and happy now that I don't have as much schoolwork to worry about.

Well, its getting late and I got to get up early. I'll post more later.
